One report, each fireplace named
List your units
Give us the address, unit numbers and how many fireplaces.
Anatomy of the record
The record carries the address and the date, and it names each fireplace by unit.
For each flue, it gives what we found and the photos.
A single visit makes a single date
Records that span months are hard to read. We go through every fireplace on the list in one visit, so the dates agree.
A Level 1 covers what can be reached by eye. A Level 2 sends a lens up the flue and then moves on to whatever attic, crawlspace and roof sections are open to us.
Who receives it
Report and photos are ready on inspection day. You decide the recipients: the board, the owners, the insurance file, your own binder.
When the record shows something below NFPA 211 or local building code, the fix is quoted after the inspection.
Fees by fireplace
Each fireplace is priced alone, using the Level 1 or Level 2 figure. Count what you have and multiply.
For the Level 2, NFPA 211 names a transfer, a chimney fire, a quake and a fuel switch. Choose the level that fits the reason you are asking.
Fees per fireplace
A Level 1 costs $56 per fireplace, a Level 2 costs $400 per fireplace, and a sweep starts at $225.
- Level 1 inspection
- $56
- Chimney sweep
- from $225
- Camera scan, Level 2
- $400
Multiply by the fireplace count.
Manager questions
Are all fireplaces inspected in the same visit?
Yes. All of them, and the report names each one.
Can the record be filed by unit?
Yes. Each fireplace is named by the unit you give us.
What if a unit is not accessible on the day?
Every fireplace is inspected in one visit, so tell us ahead of time about keys and access.
